# Assign a 360 feedback template to reviewees

After adding reviewees to the cycle, admins must [assign templates](https://help.engagedly.com/assign-a-360-feedback-template-to-reviewees-ia#assign) to them, ensuring each reviewee receives the correct set of questions during the 360 feedback cycle.

During cycle configuration:

- If you select “Assign a single template to all employees”, you must assign the template during cycle configuration. The “SELECT FROM TEMPLATE LIBRARY” and “CREATE NEW TEMPLATE” options are not available in the “Templates” tab.
- If you select “Assign different templates amongst employees”, you can assign templates later and also allow managers to assign templates to their direct reports. Refer to the [manager's actions](https://help.engagedly.com/assign-a-360-feedback-template-to-reviewees-ia#manager-actions).

### **Assign a template**

Navigate to **Apps \> 360 Feedback \> Cycles**.

1. Click **Manage** for the cycle where you want to assign the template.
2. Go to the **Templates** tab and select one of the following:

- **SELECT FROM TEMPLATE LIBRARY** to use an existing template.
- **CREATE NEW TEMPLATE** to create a new template. Refer to the [Create a 360 feedback template](https://help.engagedly.com/create-a-360-feedback-template-ia?hsLang=en).

     3.  If you prefer to select from the library, select one and click **SELECT**.

     4.  The selected templates appear in the left pane. Select a template from the left pane and click **ASSIGN**.

     5.  Select specific or all reviewees and click **ASSIGN** at the top right.

📒**Note:** Before assigning the template, confirm the reviewees you added to the cycle.

### **Manager actions**

Managers can assign templates to their direct reports if permitted.

Navigate to **Apps \> 360 Feedback \> Overview**.

###### **Option 1: Assign in bulk**

1. Click **Manage** for the cycle where you want to assign the template.
2. Go to the **Manage** tab.
3. Click **ACTIONS** \> **Assign** \> **SELECT**.
4. Select specific or all direct reports and click **ASSIGN**.
5. Click **PREVIEW** next to the template.
6. Select a template and click **SELECT**.

###### **Option 2: Assign to an individual employee**

1. Click **Manage** for the cycle where you want to assign the template.
2. Go to the **Manage** tab.
3. In the “Template Status” column, click **Assign**.

**📒Note:** The screenshot reflects the manager's view.

     4.  Click **PREVIEW** next to the template.

     5.  Select a template and click **SELECT**.

📒**Note:** To unassign a template, follow the same steps but select “UNASSIGN” or “Unassign”, depending on the option available.

**⚠️Warning:** Unassigning a template deletes the feedback progress for the selected employees.

### **Manage template assignment**

Only admins can manage template assignments.

#### **Before assignment**

Before assigning the template, manage it if required.

1. Select the template and click the **Overflow ![Overflow Menu-Nov-20-2023-05-10-31-0841-AM](https://help.engagedly.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Overflow%20Menu-Nov-20-2023-05-10-31-0841-AM.png?width=20&height=20&name=Overflow%20Menu-Nov-20-2023-05-10-31-0841-AM.png) Menu** on it.
2. Select **Preview Template** or **Remove Template**.

#### **After assignment**

After assigning a template, manage it if required.

1. In the left pane, select a template.
2. Click **MANAGE** on the right and select one of the following:

- - **Assign More:** Assign the template to additional reviewees.
    - **Select & Unassign:** Unassign the template from selected reviewees.
    - **Remove all assignments:** Remove all template assignments from all reviewees.

     3.  Follow the prompts.

**⚠️Warnings:**

- Unassigning a template deletes the feedback progress of selected reviewees.
- Removing all assignments deletes the feedback progress for all reviewees associated with that template.
