# Configure 360 feedback cycle notifications

Notifications keep admins, managers, employees and respondents informed throughout a 360 feedback cycle. You can enable or disable notifications and customize the email content and schedule for supported notifications. For scheduled notifications you can also change the send time, and for event-based notifications you can select how the email is delivered.

### **Notification types**

Notifications are grouped by stage of the 360 feedback cycle. Each one shows when it is sent:

- **Scheduled:** Sent on a date set by the cycle timeline, at the selected time, based on the selected time zone.
- **Event-based:** Sent when a specific action occurs in the cycle.

### **Configure notifications**

If you saved the cycle earlier and want to continue the configuration:

Navigate to **Apps \> 360 Feedback** **\>** **Cycles**.

1. Open your 360 feedback cycle.
2. Scroll down to the **Notifications** section.
3. Use the toggle to enable each notification you want to send.
4. (Optional) To edit a notification, click **Customize** next to it. The “Email Text” window opens.

A. For all notifications, on the “Edit Email” tab:

- - **Subject:** Update the subject line.
    - **Message:** Update the email body.  
      Type **@** to insert a variable, such as the employee or cycle name.  
      You can also search the available variables in the “Variables” panel.

- - **Button label:** Edit the label of the call-to-action button shown in the email.
   B. For all notifications, set when the email is sent:

- - **Send date:** The date is based on the cycle timeline, such as the nomination window start date.
    - **Send time:** Select the time to send the email.
    - **Delivery option:** Select how the email is sent.

- - - **Send email immediately upon event:** The email is sent as soon as the triggering action happens, such as when a respondent submits feedback.
          - **Enable periodic batch emailing:** Emails are grouped and sent together at the interval you set.
    - Click **Save**.

     5.   (Optional) Click **Preview** to see how the email appears to recipients.

     6.   Click **Save**.

**📒Note:** When you enable batch emailing, the email body changes to a summary table that lists all updates since the last email. Use the variable to show how many updates the email includes.

To discard your changes and go back to the default email text, click the **Reset ![Reset in Performance-1](https://help.engagedly.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Reset%20in%20Performance-1.png?width=30&height=30&name=Reset%20in%20Performance-1.png)** icon at the bottom left of the “Email Text” window.

#### **Save the configuration**

After you configure notifications, review the settings.

Do one of the following:

1. (Optional) Click **Preview** to review the cycle configuration.
2. Click **Save** to save and launch the cycle.

**📒Notes:**

- When you disable a notification, it is not sent, and its **Customize** option is unavailable.
- Participants or respondents added to the cycle after a notification is scheduled still receive the notification.
- External respondents receive emails based on the cycle time zone.
