Configure quiz settings in learning

After adding a quiz unit to the course, admins use quiz settings to control how learners interact with a quiz, view correct answers, and complete the course. Admins can configure response behavior, scoring criteria, retake options, and time estimates.

Add quiz details

1. Enter the quiz title.
2. (Optional) Enter a description to add details about the quiz.

Configure learner responses

Control how learners submit their answers.

1. Select Allow learner to edit responses before final submit to let learners modify their answers before submitting the quiz.

Choose when to show correct answers

Decide when learners can view correct answers.

1. Select one or both options:

• • After each question to show the correct answer immediately.
    If “Allow learner to edit responses before final submit” is enabled, learners can return and edit their responses before submitting the quiz.

• • After quiz completion to show all correct answers after submission.
    If “Allow learner to edit responses before final submit” and retakes are enabled, learners can edit their responses during a retake.

Set scoring and completion criteria

Define how the quiz impacts completion.

1. Select This quiz requires a passing score to require a minimum score.

• • Set the passing score.

     2.   Select Link quiz result with course completion to include quiz results in course completion

Configure retake policy

Allow learners to retry the quiz if needed.

1. Select Allow learners to retake failed quiz to enable retakes.

• • Set the number of retake attempts.

Set estimated completion time

1. Enter the estimated time in hours and minutes.
   Time is tracked only when the unit is accessed within the platform.

Save or cancel changes

• Click Save to apply the settings.
• Click Cancel to discard changes.
