Create a goal

You can create goals only when an admin enables the permission in the goal settings.

Navigate to Apps > Goals.

  1. Tap Create Goal at the bottom.
  2. Enter the goal title.
  3. (Optional) Tap Add Description to include a relevant description.
When you create a goal, you automatically become the goal owner.
  4. Search and select an employee from the drop-down to assign the goal.

📒Note: Employees can assign goals to others only when admins permit them.

     5.   By default, the goal level is selected as Individual.

     6.   Open the “Alignment” drop-down and then tap on a goal to align to a top-level goal.

📒Note: Top-level goals created in the web app appear here.

     7.   Select the goal duration and set the start and end dates.

📒Note: You can customize the goal duration when admins configure in the settings.

     8.   Select a measurement type to track goal progress.

📒Note: Weightages are available for percentage and quantity goals using incremental or decremental logic, providing more flexible scoring.

     9.   Open the drop-down to select the measurement logic, then enter the minimum, maximum, or threshold values. Learn more in Understand goal measurement types and logics.

📒Note: Not applicable for the “Milestone” type.

    10.   Tap one of the following to set the goal visibility:
    • Everyone: The goal is visible to all employees.
    • Custom: Tap Add to select specific departments, business units, or a combination of both.

By default, managers and others higher in the hierarchy can view employees’ goals.

📒Note: If an admin permits employees to manage their own visibility settings, an employee's preference overrides the admin setting for that goal.

    11.   Open the Categories drop-down and select one or more goal categories to organize and filter goals.

📒Note: "Categories" is available only when an admin enables them in the settings.

    12.   Update the reminder frequency to notify the goal owner.

    13.   (Optional) In the “Add contributor” section, tap any of the following:

    • Key Result: Adds a measurable outcome that tracks progress toward the goal.
    • Contribute goal: Adds a sub-goal that supports the parent goal.
Once added, both key results and contributing goals appear in the “CONTRIBUTORS” section below, where you can view and manage them.

📒Note: The “Cascade” option is available on the web only.

    14.   (Optional) Tap Save as draft to save the goal without publishing.

    15.   Tap Publish to create the goal.

After you publish the goal, you are redirected to the goal details page, where you can manage a goal. Refer to Manage a goal.
