Update a Key Result

Updating key result progress refers to regularly tracking and reporting on progress toward achieving a specific key result within a goal.

This article covers how an employee, manager, and admin convert a key result into a goal.

Employee to Update the Key Result

Employees can update key results progress, which is owned and assigned by them.

Step 1: Navigate to Home > Goals > My Goals > Owned by Me.

Step 2: Hover over any key result and click Update.

Step 3: The employee can update the key result's progress from the Update Goal window.

Manager to Update a Key Result

Managers can update any Key Result's progress of their direct reports.

Step 1: Navigate to Teams > Goals > My Team Goals.

Step 2: Select an employee and click any goal.

Step 3: Click Update on any key result.
Step 4: The manager can update the key result's progress from the Update Goal window.

Admin to Update a Result

Admins can update any key result's progress in the organization, including individual and top level goal key results. The admin can update an individual goal key result's progress from the Goals Directory section.

Step 1: Navigate to Admin > Goals > Top Level Goals to update a top level goal key result OR Navigate to Admin > Goals > Goals Directory to update an individual goal key result.

Note: Here, we are demonstrating updating the top level goal key result.

Step 2: Click a goal.

Step 3: Click Update on any key result.
Step 4: The admin can update the key result's progress from the Update Goal window.

Update a Key Result

• Enter the increment value (If the key result is a percentage or quantity type of measurement) OR mark the checkbox as selected (If the key result is a milestone type of measurement).
• Users can add comments while updating the key results. Click Chat  Icon and type your comment.
• Click View More to view and update other key results.
• Click Save to update the key result.
