# Nominate reviewers for participants in a 360 feedback cycle

After assigning a template to participants, admins must nominate respondents. Admins can also add external respondents if enabled during cycle configuration.

If admins enable managerial actions during 360 feedback cycle configuration, managers can nominate internal or external respondents, remove respondents, assign or unassign templates for their direct reports. If admins allow, employees can also nominate respondents for themselves. For more information, refer to Nominate reviewers for your 360 feedback.

**💡Tips:**

- During cycle configuration, enable default nominations and external reviewers for a smoother nomination process.
- Nominate respondents before the nomination end date. After the nomination end date, you cannot add or modify nominations.

#### **Common navigation path**

Navigate to **Apps \>** **360 Feedback \> Cycles**.

1. Locate a cycle to nominate respondents.
2. Click **Manage** on the right side of a cycle.
3. Open the **Nominate Reviewers** tab.

#### **Nominate respondents**

When default nominations are enabled during cycle configuration, the system automatically adds nominations for employees, including their managers, peers, and direct reports (if applicable).

1. Open the **Nominate Reviewers** tab.
2. Click **Add** for a participant.

     3.   Search for and select respondents, and then click **SAVE**.

#### **Add external respondents**

Include external respondents to allow for a broader range of feedback and insights. When "Allow external respondent nominations" is enabled during cycle configuration, you can add external respondents as nominators, who appear with the letter E in the “Nominate Reviewers” tab.

1. Open the **Nominate Reviewers** tab.
2. Click **Add** for a participant.
3. Click **ADD EXTERNAL RESPONDENT**.

     4.   Enter the name and email.

     5.   By default, the “Send an email request to the respondent” option is enabled. Disable it if required. When disabled, the subject, message, and “Bcc” fields are hidden.

     6.   (Optional) Edit the subject and enter a message.

     7.   (Optional) Edit the email address in the “Bcc” field.

     8.   Click **SAVE**, then click **SAVE** again to confirm.

**📒Notes:**

- By default, the logged-in user’s email appears in the “Bcc” field.
- Bcc allows the admin to get a copy of the invite sent to the external respondent, without the respondent seeing who else received it.

#### **Remove respondents**

Remove default or manually added respondents from the cycle.

**Warning:** Removing respondents deletes their feedback progress.

1. Open the **Nominate Reviewers** tab.
2. Hover over the respondent’s name for a participant.
3. Click the **Cancel ![undefined-Apr-22-2026-11-37-20-1305-AM](https://help.engagedly.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-Apr-22-2026-11-37-20-1305-AM.png?width=20&height=20&name=undefined-Apr-22-2026-11-37-20-1305-AM.png)** icon.

#### **Import reviewers**

Import reviewers in bulk using the template.

1. Open the **Nominate Reviewers** tab.
2. Click **MANAGE REVIEWERS** on the right.
3. Select **Import Reviewers**.
4. Click the **Download ![undefined-May-02-2026-04-00-38-6498-PM](https://help.engagedly.com/hs-fs/hubfs/undefined-May-02-2026-04-00-38-6498-PM.png?width=20&height=20&name=undefined-May-02-2026-04-00-38-6498-PM.png)**icon to download the template.
5. Open the downloaded template, enter the necessary details, and save the file.
6. Return to Engagedly and click **UPLOAD**.
7. Select the saved template and click **NEXT**.

**⚠️Warning:** Deleting any column in the template causes the upload failure.

**📒Notes:**

- Do not delete any columns from the template. Deleting any column causes the upload to fail.
- Enable “Populate respondents based on relationship” before downloading the template to automatically assign respondents based on predefined relationships with reviewees.
- When the relationship option is enabled, you can also select the required relationships during import.

#### **Export reviewers**

Export reviewers’ names and their email addresses.

1. Open the **Nominate Reviewers** tab.
2. Click **MANAGE REVIEWERS** on the right.
3. Select **Export Reviewers**.

You receive an email with a download link.

#### **Remove reviewees**

You can remove reviewees if you add them to the cycle by mistake or if they are no longer eligible to participate.

**⚠️Warning:** After you remove a reviewee, their feedback progress is lost.

1. Open the **Nominate Reviewers** tab.
2. Hover over the reviewee, then click **Remove**.

     3.   Click **DELETE** to confirm.

**📒Note:** Only admins can add or remove reviewees and import reviewees or reviewers in a 360 feedback cycle.
