What is a variant in a pulse?

A variant is an additional set of questions attached to a main pulse for a specific group of employees. It does not create a separate survey.

For example, suppose your main pulse has 5 standard questions for everyone, and you create an Engineering variant with 3 additional questions.

  • Employees assigned only to the main pulse see the 5 standard questions.
  • Employees assigned only to the variant see the 3 variant questions.
  • Employees assigned to both the main pulse and the variant see all 8 questions in one sitting.
