Access and interact with Marissa
Marissa is available across the platform wherever it can take action. It can recommend action items, summarize data, and provide insights. Employees can also access Marissa directly from chat.
- Click Ask Marissa to start a chat.
- Enter a prompt in the input field and click the Send
icon.
- Click the Plus
icon to start a new chat.
💡Tip: Use @ followed by an employee’s name to tag them.
4. To add context (such as a performance cycle, 360 feedback cycle, or engagement survey), click the Plus icon on the left side of the input field (optional).
📒Note: Adding context is available only to admins and managers.
View and manage chat history
Access, search, and manage your previous interactions using the response history panel.
- Click the Split View
icon at the top right to open or collapse the panel.
- Use the search bar to find previous chats by keyword or topic.
- Hover over a chat, click the Overflow
Menu, and select Delete to remove it.
Feedback on responses
You can give quick feedback on Marissa’s responses.
- Click the Thumbs Up icon to like a response.
- Click the Thumbs Down icon to dislike a response.
- Click the Redo icon to regenerate a different version.
- Click the Flag icon to report an issue.
💡Tip: Providing feedback helps improve the quality of Marissa’s responses.
Write effective prompts
Marissa turns your questions into answers. Clear and specific prompts result in better insights, actions, and recommendations.
- Be specific: Ask about one topic or task at a time.
- Provide context: Include details that help Marissa understand your request.
- Name the app: Specify the app if your question applies to multiple apps.
- Use follow-ups: Refine or go deeper with follow-up questions after a response.
- Combine insights: Ask Marissa to pull information from multiple apps for a more complete view.
💡Tip: Avoid vague prompts like “Can you fix the issue?” or “Can you do this?”.
If a response is unclear or incomplete, add details or rephrase your request.
You can use follow-up prompts to continue conversations. Marissa remembers the context of your conversation. Ask related questions without starting over. When the intent is clear, combine related actions into a single prompt.
Sample prompts
- What upcoming meetings do I have?
Follow-up: Can you list the agenda items for my next meeting? - How many courses did I complete last month?
Follow-up: Which course would you recommend I take next, based on what I completed? - What feedback have I received recently?
Follow-up: Can you show me how my feedback trend has changed over the last three months?
💡Tip: Group related actions in a single prompt or use follow-ups to continue the conversation naturally.
