Add and manage resources for Marissa

1. Introduction
Marissa, Engagedly’s AI-powered assistant, helps admins, managers, and employees build a highly engaged and high-performing organization.
Admins can train Marissa by adding internal resources such as policies, handbooks, and organizational documents. Once trained, Marissa instantly assists employees by answering their queries and directing them to relevant content.
HR admins can delegate repetitive and time-consuming tasks to Marissa and focus on more strategic work. Marissa also provides detailed information on Engagedly’s features along with relevant citations, making support faster and more efficient.
📒Notes:
- All employees in the organization can access the content added in “Training Resources”. You cannot limit access to specific employees.
- The Training Resources feature is available only if Marissa AI is enabled for your organization.
2. Add resources
Navigate to Settings > Marissa.
- In the “HR Agent” field, click Manage training resources.
- Click Add Resources.
- Select Upload File or Fetch From Link.

Click Attach, upload a file, enter the description, and click Add. |
Enter the title, description, and URL, and click Add. |
It takes a few seconds to upload after adding the resources. View the status “Processing” while Marissa AI is getting trained to compile the information. Once resources are uploaded, the status changes to “Available”, indicating Marissa is prepared to assist employees. Refresh the page to view the updated status.
💡Tip: Add only public URLs that don’t require login. Marissa cannot access content behind paywalls or sign-ins.
3. Manage resources
After uploading resources, manage them if required.
Click the Overflow Menu on the right side of a file and select Update or Delete.
⚠️ Warning: Deleting a resource permanently removes its content from Marissa’s memory.
4. Access Marissa AI
Two types of Marissa AI are available:

Answers specific questions without ongoing conversation. |
Summarizes reviews, tracks progress, and identifies growth areas using real-time data from various apps based on your permissions. |
