Add goals and IDPs to the performance review form

Managers can manually add their team members' goals and Individual Development Plans (IDPs) to the performance review form if these fields are included in the review template. This ensures that performance discussions stay aligned with organizational priorities and support the employee’s development journey.

If admins enable the “Automatically fetch goals” option, add goals and IDPs are automatically added to the review form. Learn more in Auto-fetch goals and IDPs in a performance review.

💡Tip: Managers are best positioned to add or manage goals and IDPs since they work closely with their team members and understand their progress and development needs. However, admins can also add or manage them when required.

When goals and IDPs are added after employees submit their self-reviews, the system automatically rolls the review back to allow editing. This gives employees the opportunity to review the updates, make any necessary changes, and resubmit their responses.
Admins and managers can then view the updated responses.

This feature ensures that:

  • Employee goals and development plans remain aligned, accurate, and up-to-date during the review process.
  • Managers and employees can make collaborative adjustments before the review is finalized.
  • Reviews reflect complete and current performance information.

Admins: Navigate to Apps > Performance > Cycles.

Managers: Navigate to Apps > Performance > Overview.

  1. Click Manage for a cycle and go to the Process tab.
  2. Click the File undefined-Dec-02-2025-01-23-43-9096-PM icon for the employee whose goals or IDPs you want to update.
  3. In the review form, select Goals or Individual Development Plan from the left pane.
  4. Follow the actions in the table.

Employees: Navigate to Apps > Performance > My Reviews.

  1. Under “Ongoing Reviews”, click Self Review for a cycle to open the review form.
  2. In the review form, select Goals or Individual Development Plan from the left pane.
  3. Follow the actions in the table.

  3.   Click ADD.

  3.   Click MANAGE.

  4.   Filter by period and status.

  5.   Select the goals or IDPs and click SUBMIT.

  4.   Hover over a goal or IDP to rearrange or delete it.

  5.   Click SUBMIT.
