Assign learning
After publishing a course or learning path, authors can assign it to individual learners or groups. During assignment, they can set a due date and mark the learning as mandatory.
After assigning learning, the “Insights” tab becomes available on the details page, alongside the “Learners” tab.
You can also assign learning in bulk by importing learners. During the import process, admins and learning managers can mark learning as mandatory for multiple learners at once. Learn more in Import learners.
Navigate to Apps > Learning > Author.
- Go to the Authored by you tab and open a published learning.
- Click Assign and select one of the following:
- Assign to Members
- Assign to Groups

Assign to members
Assign learning to employees in the organization.
- In the “Members” tab, select My Org, My Team, or My Entire Team from the drop-down.
- Select all or specific employees, and click Next.
📒Note: Admins can view “My Org”, while managers can view “My Team” and “My Entire Team”.
- Enable or disable a due date.
- Mark the assignment as mandatory.
📒Note: For compliance courses, you cannot set a due date and mark the assignment as mandatory.
4. Click Assign.
Assign to groups
Assign learning to groups created in your organization.
- Select all or specific groups, and click Next.
- In the “Assignment Settings” tab, toggle the option to
- Enable or disable a due date.
- Mark the assignment as mandatory.
📒Note: For compliance courses, you cannot set a due date and mark the assignment as mandatory.
3. Click Assign.
Edit or remove a due date
After setting a due date, you can edit or remove it for individual learners at any time.
- Go to the Learners tab.
- Hover over the “Due Date” field, and click the Edit
icon for a learner. - Click the Calendar
icon to change the due date or select No Due Date to remove it. - Click Save.

📒Note: Due dates are not visible for compliance courses.
After assigning learning, you can track learner progress and export reports.
