Auto-fetch goals and IDPs to the performance review form
Auto-fetching the employee's goals and Individual Development Plans (IDPs) into their review form streamlines the review process and saves time and effort for both employees and reviewers. It ensures that employees and reviewers have all relevant context in one place, reducing manual effort and supporting a more comprehensive evaluation.
Admins can enable auto-fetch goals and IDPs into the review form when creating a review template or while updating an existing template.
Including goals and IDPs in a review form helps provide a well-rounded view of an employee’s performance and development.
Auto-fetch goals
Navigate to Apps > Performance > Templates.
- Select a template in which you want to fetch goals automatically.
- In “TEMPLATE SECTIONS”, click ADD.
- Select + Goals.

4. Enter the name and description.
5. (Optional) Enable Make Goals Mandatory For Employees, allowing them to add at least one goal to the performance review form.
6. Toggle the options to:
- Enable employee ratings and comments.
- Enable manager ratings and comments.
7. (Optional) Select Mandatory for both or as required.
8. Enable Automatically fetch goals to pull goals into the review form.
9. Select the goal period, status, progress, or category.
10. Click SAVE.
11. After making the changes, click SAVE at the top right of the template.

📒Note: If “Automatically fetch goals” is disabled, employees and managers can manually add goals to the review form. Learn more in Add goals and IDPs to the performance review form.
Managers can add weights to goals within the review form to evaluate how each goal contributes to the team member’s performance. This ensures a balanced and accurate assessment aligned with the goal priority and impact.

Navigate to Apps > Performance > Templates.
- Select a template in which you want to fetch IDPs automatically.
- In “TEMPLATE SECTIONS”, click ADD.
- Select + IDPs.
- Enter the name and description.
- (Optional) Enable Make IDPs Mandatory For Employees, allowing them to add at least one IDP to the performance review form.
- Toggle the options to:
- Enable employee ratings and comments.
- Enable manager ratings and comments.
7. (Optional) Select Mandatory for both or as required.
8. Click SAVE.
9. After making the changes, click SAVE at the top right of the template.
Managers can assign weights to IDPs within the review form to assess the significance of each development activity in an employee’s overall growth. This allows for a more structured evaluation of progress on key development areas.
