How readiness differs from stages?

Readiness and stages serve different purposes in talent mobility. Together, they provide a complete view of employee development.

  • Readiness indicates how prepared an employee is for a specific role.
It answers: Is the employee ready for the role now, soon, or later?
  • Stages represent where an employee is in the talent pipeline or development journey.
They answer the question: What step is the employee currently in (for example, Identified, Developing, Ready)?
