Import courses, learners, and history

Admins and learning managers can import courses and learners in bulk using Excel. Bulk import saves time, reduces errors, and quickly adds multiple courses and learners to the learning module for a well-organized learning experience.

You can also import the history of:

  • Imported courses
  • Learners imported into a course
  • Learners imported into a learning path

📒Note: Only admins and learning managers can import courses, learners, and history.

⚠️Warning: Deleting any column in the template results in an upload failure.

Steps to import

Navigate to Apps > Learning > Author.

  1. Go to the Authored by you tab and open a course.
  2. Click the Upload Upload arrow Arrow at the top right.
  3. Select the type of import: Import Courses, Import Learners, or Import history.

Import courses

Import courses from integrated learning applications into Engagedly using an Excel template.

  1. Click the Download Download Grey-1 icon to download the template.
  2. Open the template, add course details, and save the file.
  3. Return to Engagedly, click Upload, and then click Import.

Import learners

Import learners into multiple courses or learning paths using Excel. The system automatically assigns the specified course or learning path to each learner based on the details provided in the file.

  1. Click the Download Download Grey-1 icon to download the template.
  2. Open the template, add course details, and save the file.
  3. In the “Import for” field, select Course or Learning Path according to the template.
  4. Return to Engagedly, click Upload, and then click Import.

Import history

View the status and details of imported courses and learners.

  1. Click the Filter Filter-Oct-17-2023-07-02-02-8990-AM icon in the “Status” field.
  2. Select a status: Completed, Failed, Processed, or Processing.
  3. If the status is “Failed”, click Failed to view the error and fix it.

After importing learners, you can track their' progress and export reports.
