Goals in Engagedly help individuals and teams focus on what matters most. Each goal can be tracked, measured, and aligned to broader organizational objectives, ensuring every employee's work connects to the bigger picture.

Who can create goals

Your role in Engagedly determines what kinds of goals you can create and who you can assign them to.

Goal types

Individual goals

Individual goals focus on personal responsibilities and day-to-day contributions. Employees, managers, and admins can all create individual goals. When you create a goal, you automatically become the goal owner.

Top-level goals

Top-level goals establish a structural framework that guides alignment across the organization, helping everyone work toward common objectives. Only admins, department admins, and business unit admins can create top-level goals. Engagedly supports three types:

• Business unit goals: Goals tailored to specific business units, such as products, services, or markets, to track progress toward common objectives.

Ways to create a goal

Engagedly offers three methods to create a goal:

• Manually: Build a goal from scratch with full control over all settings.
• Marissa AI: Use Engagedly's AI to generate a goal and relevant key results based on a title you provide.
• Library: Choose from predefined templates in the Organization Library (created by admins) or the Engagedly Library (based on industry standards).
