What is the difference between an interest group and a smart group?

Interest Group: Only admins can create an Interest Group. All the employees can view and join the Interest Group without the approval of the Group admin.

Smart Group: Only admins can create a Smart Group that will automatically add the employees based on the following data:

• Location
• Job title 
• Manager
• Business unit.
• Department
• Birthday
• Date of hire
• Last promotion date
• Next review date
