Why is readiness not enough without stages?

Readiness alone does not provide the full picture of an employee’s progression. Readiness shows whether an employee is ready for a future role, but it does not show where the employee currently stands in the development journey.

Stages help track the employee’s progression over time. They show how the employee moves from identification to development and eventually to readiness for a role.
