# Add and manage questions in quiz

After [creating a course](https://help.engagedly.com/create-a-course?hsLang=en), authors must add [sections](https://help.engagedly.com/add-and-manage-sections-and-units?hsLang=en#Add-sections) and [units](https://help.engagedly.com/add-and-manage-sections-and-units?hsLang=en#add-units) to it. If a quiz unit is added, they must [add questions](https://help.engagedly.com/add-and-manage-questions-in-a-quiz#add-ques) to it and [manage them](https://help.engagedly.com/add-and-manage-questions-in-a-quiz#manage-ques) if required.

Authors can include questions with single or multiple correct answers to evaluate the learner's knowledge. They can also provide explanations for the correct answers after learners attempt the quiz. It enables learners to assess their performance and improve their understanding of the topic.

### **Add question**

After adding a quiz unit to the course, you must add questions to it. You can add questions to the quiz in a course that is authored by you. 

1. At the top right, click **Manage Resources**.
2. Click **Authored by you** and select a course.
3. In the *Content* tab, select a quiz unit on the left.
4. Click **+ Add Question **on the right.

  5.   Type the question, select a question type, and click **Save**.

***Note:*** *If you select a question type*

- *Single and multiple-choice questions: You must provide options and select the correct answer. You can describe the correct answer if required.*
- *Text: You must award points for* 
    - *Each word that includes in the answer and type the text.*
    - *Correct answer.*

### **Manage question**

After adding questions to the quiz, you can edit or delete them if required.

  5.   Select the **Pen ![Pen-1](https://help.engagedly.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Pen-1.png?width=20&height=20&name=Pen-1.png)** or **Delete ![Delete Grey](https://help.engagedly.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Delete%20Grey.png?width=20&height=20&name=Delete%20Grey.png)** **Icon** on the right side of a quiz as required.

***Note:*** *If you add a quiz unit to a course, you must include at least one question in the quiz before you can publish the course.*

After making changes to a course, you must publish it and push it to the library. Learn more in the [Publish course](https://help.engagedly.com/publish-course?hsLang=en).
