Add members to a talent pool

Add employees to a talent pool to track and manage promising talent before assigning them to pipelines or succession plans. Admins can add members from multiple areas in the Talent Mobility app, depending on where you identify talent.

Where you can add members from

You can add employees to the talent pool from:

  • Overview page: Quick add from dashboard
  • Talent Discovery: Add from search results
  • Strategic Talent & Roles (STAR): Add identified critical talent
  • Talent Pool page: Dedicated workspace for managing members
Option 1: Add members from the talent pool page (recommended)

Use this method for direct and controlled additions.

Navigate to Apps > Talent Mobility > Talent Pool.

  1. Click Add Members at the top right.
  2. Select individual employees or all employees.
  3. Click Add Members to include them in the talent pool.
  4. (Optional) Enter remarks to explain why the employees are added.
  5. Click Add to confirm.
Option 2: Add members from the overview page

The “Overview” page provides a quick entry point to add talent without leaving your dashboard.

Navigate to Apps > Talent Mobility > Overview.

  1. Scroll to the Talent Pool section.
  2. On the Total members in the pool card, click Add talent.

Option 3: Add members from talent discovery

Talent discovery allows you search for employees using natural-language and filters, then add them directly to the pool from the search results. To learn more about how to discover talents, refer to Discover talent in your organization.

Import members

In addition to adding employees individually, you can also import multiple employees at once using the import option.

  1. Click the Upload Upload arrow icon at the top right.
  2. Click Download to get the template.
  3. Open the downloaded file, enter the necessary details, and save the file.
  4. Return to Engagedly, click Upload, and then click Import.

The system adds the uploaded employees to the talent pool members list.

📒Note: Use the employee email ID registered in the organization.

Add or update remarks

Remarks provide context on why an employee is added to the pool. You help capture intent, decisions, and updates over time.

Multiple admins can add and update remarks, allowing teams to collaborate, share insights, and keep context current as decisions evolve.

  1. Scroll the grid to the right until you view the “Remarks” column.
  2. Do one of the following:
  • Click Add Remarks to enter new remarks.
  • Click Remarks to update existing remarks.
