Career framework hierarchy
The career framework includes multiple components; only the following follow a strict hierarchy:
Job Function → Job Family → Job Title
Other elements, such as career path category, career path, job level, and mapping to skills and competencies, are independent groupings or supporting structures. They do not form part of the core hierarchy but are used to organize growth opportunities and define expectations.
- Career Path Category → Career Path: These are grouped separately to guide progression, built using job titles and levels.
- Job Level + Job Title: These form the basis for career paths but are not hierarchical themselves.
- Mapping: This is a standalone process that links job titles to skills, competencies, and responsibilities.
ℹ️Additional information:
- Existing job titles are automatically saved as “Uncategorized”.
- Move uncategorized job titles into relevant job families.
- Reassign job titles across job families or job functions for better organization and alignment with career paths.
