Only admins can configure the skill framework for the organization, allowing employees to add custom skills.
Navigate to Apps > Growth.
On the left pane, click Settings at the bottom left.
On the TALENT MANAGEMENT page, go to the Skills Framework field.
Notes:
- If you already have skills created in your organization, they are saved as uncategorized.
- Click Manage in the Skill taxonomy field and add a category to organize skills effectively.
- If you have existing skill categories, you can move uncategorized skills into them. You can also reassign skills to different categories or subcategories as required for better organization and alignment with career paths.
Skills framework
A skills framework is a structured system that defines, categorizes, and standardizes skills across roles and departments within an organization. This helps in simplifying talent assessment and development.
Toggle the button to enable the skills framework, then perform the following actions.
- Create a proficiency scale
- Access skill taxonomy
- Add and manage skill category
- Add and manage subcategory
- Add and manage skill
- Import skill
- Enable skill
Proficiency scale
A proficiency scale defines expertise levels for a competency, aiding skill gaps, development, and talent planning.
Add and manage proficiency level
You can add and manage proficiency levels at any time to assess current abilities and set targets for improvement.

In the Proficiency scale field, click View recommended scales and then click Use this to apply. |
Once created, you cannot delete the scale. However, you can edit it. Click Manage, make necessary changes, and click Save. |
Skill taxonomy
A skill taxonomy is a structured classification system that organizes skills into categories and subcategories based on their relevance and relationships.
In the Skill taxonomy field, perform one of the following:
