Organize skills
A skill taxonomy is a structured classification system that organizes skills for better alignment with career paths.
Admins can organize skills into categories and subcategories, making skill management easier across the organization.
Navigate to Apps > Growth > Settings.
- Go to Skills Framework and ensure it is enabled.
- In the ‘Skill taxonomy” section, perform one of the following options:

| Create category | Click Manage to create custom categories and subcategories. |
| Import category | Click View Engagedly Library, select skills, and then click Import to add predefined skills. |

After you click “Manage”, the system opens the skill taxonomy page with default prompts.
💡Tip: Select a prompt to use Engagedly’s AI assistant, Marissa, to help you categorize skills.
After importing skill categories, edit them at any time. For details, refer to Add and manage skill categories and subcategories.
