Add a comment as a milestone

After adding a comment on the IDP, employees can enhance their development journey by converting it into a milestone. They can add it as a new milestone or link it to an existing one. This helps maintain a structured development plan, track progress effectively, and support continuous learning and growth.

Admins and managers can encourage employees to set milestones, track their progress, and provide guidance to align development efforts with career goals.

Navigate to Apps > Growth.

Perform the following actions relevant to your role:

Persona

Admin

On the left pane, click the drop-down, select My Org, and then select an employee.

Manager

On the left pane, click the drop-down, select a team, and then select a team member.

Employees 

Go to the My Growth Hub page.

After you navigate to the respective section, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Chat Chat grey Icon on an IDP where you have commented.
  2. Click the Overflow Overflow Menu-Oct-11-2023-07-43-45-1628-AM Menu at the top of a comment.

Proceed with the following actions:

Add as a new milestone

 3. Select Add as new milestone.

The comment is saved as a description in the milestone.

 4. Set the due date if required.

 5. Click Add Resources and select the option as required.

  • Learning paths
  • Engagedly resources
  • My learnings (available only for employees)

These resources help align your goals with organizational objectives and facilitate ongoing learning and growth.

 6. On the right side, select the resources and click Add at the top right.

To remove a resource, hover over it and click the Delete Delete Grey Icon.

 7. Click Attach to upload files from your computer if required, and then click Add.

Add as an existing milestone

 3. Select Add to Existing Milestone.

 4. Select a milestone and click Save at the top right.

The comment is saved as a description in the milestone.

 5. Set the due date if required.

 6. Click Add Resources and select the appropriate option.

 7. On the right side, select the resources and click Add at the top right.

To remove a resource, hover over it and click the Delete Delete Grey Icon.

8. Click Attach to upload files from your computer if required, and then click Update.

📒Note: The My Learnings option is not available for admins and managers when they add a comment as a milestone for employees’ IDP.

You can also add comments from other participants to a milestone for improved collaboration and guidance. Adding comments to a milestone allows participants (such as admins, managers, mentors, or peers) to provide feedback, guidance, or insights. This feature enhances collaboration by enabling discussions around progress, challenges, and next steps within a milestone.
