Glossary in Engagement Survey

A list of specific terms and their definitions used in the Engagement Survey.

  • Respondents: Employees who respond to the engagement survey.
  • Author: The one who creates a Survey is an author who can manage the engagement survey and respondents.
  • Co-author: The author can make admins as co-authors with the same ability as an author.
  • Authored by you: The user is an author or co-author of the engagement survey and can perform all the author's actions.
  • Authored by others: The user is not an author and can only view the engagement survey authored by others. They cannot perform all the author’s actions.
  • Push to template library: The author can push the engagement survey template to the template library and make it available to other admins.
  • Assignments: The author can share an engagement survey in the form of assignments.
  • Recurrence: The author can schedule the assignments to recur at regular intervals.
  • Driver questions: Driver questions are used to calculate the engagement index. They pinpoint specific issues impacting employee engagement directly.
  • Baseline: The baseline is a reference point for evaluating employee engagement, tracking changes over time.
  • Engagement index: The engagement index is used to assess the overall engagement level of employees within an organization.
  • Favourability distribution: Favorability distribution refers to how positively or negatively employees respond to the engagement survey questions. It shows the spread of responses across different satisfaction levels, indicating whether employees have favorable, neutral, or unfavorable feelings about various aspects of their work culture.
  • Favorability score: The favorability score measures the temperature of employee sentiment accurately.
  • Heat map: A heat map is a visual representation that displays the distribution of responses in different colors, indicating varying satisfaction levels. The darker areas indicate higher satisfaction levels, while lighter colors indicate lower levels.
  • Themes: Themes are the sections within the analytics page to provide a focused view of specific survey-related data and insights.
  • Delta: Delta represents the difference between the favorability score of a question or section and its respective baseline.
  • Question type: The author can add various question types to collect responses from the respondents. These question types are designed to capture specific data and serve different purposes. It includes:
    • Agreement choice: Allow employees to select a single option. Admin can mark it as a driver question.
    • Employee net promoter score:Allows respondents to measure the likelihood of their workplace recommending to others.
    • Text:Allow respondents to provide open-ended responses with text input.
