1. Introduction
Integrating Slack with Engagedly helps improve employee engagement and productivity by streamlining workflows and reducing the need to switch between applications.
With this integration, employees can receive actionable messages from Engagedly and perform certain tasks directly within Slack.
📒Note: This document covers the integration setup for both Tangerine (V2) and Indigo (V3). Screenshots are captured from Indigo (V3), so the user interface may vary slightly in Tangerine.
2. Admin setup
Complete these steps to enable Slack V1 for your organization.
2.1. Integration process
Admin must contact our support team to enable Slack integration for their organization. Once enabled, employees can connect their individual Slack accounts to Engagedly.
📒Note: Admin configuration is required before employees can use this integration.
3. Employee setup
After admins complete the integration, employees can connect their Slack and Engagedly accounts.
3.1. Connect Slack with Engagedly
Prerequisites
- Access to both Slack and Engagedly.
- Slack enabled in your organization.

Log in to Engagedly.

Click your profile picture at the top right and select Account Settings.
📒Note: In Tangerine (V2), click your profile picture at the top right and select Manage Profile.
3. Go to the Integrations tab.
4. Click CONNECT for "Slack".

5. In the Slack log-in window, enter the name of your workspace and click Continue.
Your Slack account is successfully integrated with your Engagedly account.
To disconnect:
Follow steps 1 to 3, then click DISCONNECT for “Slack V1”.
4. Notifications and actions in Slack
Employees receive Slack notifications for specific events in the Engagedly apps and can perform certain actions within Slack.
4.1. Social
Actions
- Like or unlike the post
- Comment on the post
- Upvote, downvote, or comment on ideas
Notifications: The post owner is notified when others like the post, like a comment, or upvote an idea.
4.2. Goals
Actions
- Mark your goal as contributing
- Add comments or key results to a goal
- Check-in on your goal
- Manager can add comments about their direct report’s goals
Notifications
- The status of your goal or key result is edited, updated, or deleted
- A goal or key result assigned to you
- Your goal assigner has changed
- Owner of your goal’s key result has changed
- Admin or manager nudges the goal owner
- You are mentioned in a goal
- Your key result is converted to a goal
- Your goal is aligned
- Manager unaligned your goal
- Your goal is followed by someone
- Your goal is locked or unlocked
- Your goal is archived or unarchived
- Manager marked a goal contributing to your goal
- Manager removes the contributing goal from your goal

- Submit your responses
- Manager reviews their direct reports’ responses

- Admin launches the team pulse
