What is the grading scale functionality in the performance review?

HR/admins can enable and customize the grading scale in performance reviews as required. This functionality allows assigning numerical or descriptive ratings to employee performance, helping standardize feedback and making it easier to assess contributions based on a set scale.

For example, they can customize the grading scale as follows:

  • 0.01 to 1.0 = 1
  • 1.1 to 1.5 = 1.5
  • 1.6 to 2.0 = 2
  • 2.01 to 2.5 = 2.5
  • 2.6 to 3.0 = 3
  • 3.01 to 3.5 = 3.5
  • 3.6 to 4.0 = 4
  • 4.01 to 4.5 = 4.5
  • 4.6 to 5.0 = 5
  • 0.01 to 1.0 = 1
  • 1.01 to 2.0 = 2
  • 2.1 to 3.0 = 3
  • 3.1 to 4.0 = 4
  • 4.1 to 5.0 = 5

If the average rating of the employee and manager is 2.25, the grade is 3.

If the average rating of the employee and manager is 3.75, the grade is 4.
