Import courses, learners, and history

Admin, author, and co-author can import courses and learners in bulk.

Importing courses and learners in bulk saves admins time and effort, reduces errors, and allows for the quick addition of multiple courses and learners to the learning module. This streamlines the process and ensures a more organized learning experience.

They can also import the history of the following:

  • Import courses
  • Import learners into the course
  • Import learners into a learning path

Note: Only admins and learning managers can import courses, learners, and history.

Navigate to Learning.

Import courses

You can import courses in bulk from various integrated learning applications into the learning module using Excel.

  1. Click Manage Resources at the top right and click the Up Arrow.
  2. Select Import Courses.
  3. Click the Download Download Grey-1 Icon to download a template.
  4. Open the downloaded file, add the course details to it, and save it.

Note: Deleting any column results in an upload failure.

  5.   Click Upload and click Import.

Import learners

You can import learners in bulk into multiple courses or learning paths using Excel. When you import learners, the system automatically assigns the specified courses or learning paths to each learner based on the learning information provided in the Excel sheet.

  1. Click Manage Resources at the top right and click the Up Arrow.
  2. Select Import Learners.
  3. Click the Download Icon to download a template for a course or learning path as required.
  4. Open the downloaded file, add the learners' details to it, and save it.

Note: Deleting any column results in an upload failure.

  5.   In the Import for field, select Course or Learning Path based on the template you download in step 3.

  6.   Click Upload and click Import.

Import history

You can view the history of imported courses and learners and their status.

  1. Click Manage Resources at the top right and click the Up Arrow.
  2. Select Import History.

Click the Filter Icon in the Status field and select the filter as required: Completed, Failed, Processed, or Processing.

Click Failed if the status is Failed to view the error and fix it.

After importing learners into learning, you can track their progress and export reports.
