After creating a survey, authors must add sections and questions to it and manage them if required.
Note: You can share surveys only after adding a question.
Add sections and questions
You can add multiple sections to a survey and multiple questions to each section. You can also add a link in the survey description or question to direct respondents to a website for additional information, such as a resort, event registration, conference details, or training materials, depending on the purpose of your survey.
Note: Adding questions to a survey after sharing it may affect the collected responses.
Navigate to Surveys > General.
- Click the Filter
Icon in the ALL SURVEYS field.
- Click the drop-down and select Authored by You.
- Select a survey where you want to add sections and questions.
4. In the Questionnaire tab, click Add Section Title.
5. Type the section title and description and click SAVE.
6. Click ADD QUESTION and select the question type.
7. Type the question and description and click SAVE.
Based on your requirements, you can
- Add multiple sections and multiple questions in each section.
- Choose single and multiple selections in the multiple-choice question type.
- Type the choices or choose scale type in the multiple-choice and matrix question types.
- Edit, delete, and rearrange the choices.
- Randomize the choices between the respondents.
- Enable a follow-up text question.
- Make the question mandatory.
- Set the maximum character limit for the text question type.
- Add rows and columns and randomize rows in the matrix question type.

You can add multiple sections.
Click +ADD SECTION to add another section.
Manage sections and questions
After adding sections and questions to a survey, you can manage them.
In each section, perform the following action as required:
- Click the Overflow
Menu and select Delete Section or Reorder Sections.
- Click the Edit
Icon to edit the section.
Note: You can view the overflow menu at the top right of a section, only after adding another section. This means you cannot delete or reorder a section unless you add another section.
- Hover over the question and click the Edit
, Copy
, Delete
, or Six Dot
icon as required.
Note: You cannot add, edit, reorder, or remove the options in a question after sharing a survey.
Note:
- After sharing a survey, you cannot
- Delete the sections
- Delete the questions
- Change the question type
- You can only hide the questions, which affects the collected responses.
After adding sections and questions to a survey, you can
- Push it to the template library, making it accessible to other admins and survey managers.
- Share it with respondents so they can submit their responses.
