Configure growth settings

Growth settings allow admins to set up and organize skills, competencies, and career frameworks so employees can track their development, close skill gaps, and grow within the organization through the growth hub.

Scope of this document

This document explains how to configure growth hub settings in Engagedly. The following frameworks are part of growth settings but are documented separately.

Click the framework name in the following section to open its respective document.

Configuration

Navigate to Apps > Growth.

  1. Click Settings at the bottom left.

  2. On the "TALENT MANAGEMENT" page, configure:

ℹ️Additional information:

  • If you already have skills, competencies, and job titles created in your organization, they are saved as uncategorized if they are created without a category or if no category is assigned during creation.
  • Click Manage in the respective section to add categories to organize them effectively.
  • If you have existing categories, add uncategorized skills, competencies, and job titles to their respective categories to keep the framework structured.

Growth hub

The growth hub is a centralized platform that helps employees track their skills, competencies, and career development. It enables targeted learning, identifies skill gaps, and supports career growth.

  1. On the "TALENT MANAGEMENT" page, scroll down to the "Growth Hub" section.

Growth components

In the "Components" section, enable or disable the following at any time:

  • By default, all employees, managers, and admins can create IDPs and add milestones.
  • Enable Interests so employees can add interests to their growth hub.
  • Enable Motivators so employees can add their motivations.
  • Enable Allow custom skills so employees to create skills that are not available in the organization's skill library.

📒Note: Custom skills added by employees appear as uncategorized in the organization's skill library.

Skill endorsement visibility

In the 'Who can endorse members skill proficiency" section, select who can update skill endorsements:

  • Employee only
  • Employee and Managers
  • Entire Organization
  • None (Skills remain visible but cannot be endorsed.)

💡Tip: Select None if endorsements or validation are not required.

Reward points

Enable Award points to employees on completion of IDPs and set point values.

Edit or disable this option at any time.

Prerequisite

An active subscription to Engagedly’s Rewards app is required to access reward points.

Notifications

Set reminders for employees to update their talent profiles monthly or quarterly.
