1. Introduction

Engagedly's Growth module helps employees develop their skills and advance their careers. It allows creating IDPs, tracking progress, and accessing learning resources. This module enables employees to create personalized growth plans and managers to support their team's development effectively.

1.1. How does it work

  • Admins have to configure the settings as required.
  • You can create IDPs for your yourselves.
  • Admins and managers can nudge you to create IDP, add milestones to it, and update IDP.
  • You work on your IDP, update their progress, and complete it.
  • You can initiate a conversation on your IDP, seeking support and guidance from your manager.
  • You can revert the completed IDP.

1.2. User actions

  1. Create and manage your IDPs.
  2. Add milestones to your IDPs and manage them.
  3. Make your completed IDP active.
  4. Initiate a conversation in IDP, seeking support and guidance from the manager.
  5. Submit a response to the career aspirations survey when the admin shares the questionnaire.

2. Create and manage IDP

You can create IDPs to take an active role in your professional development, set personalized goals, and identify the skills and training you need to advance your career. After creating the IDPs, you can manage them if required.

Marissa AI recommends IDPs tailored to your current and desired roles.

Learn more in Create and manage IDP.

3. Add and manage milestones

After creating the IDP, employees can add milestones to measure their progress toward it. You can manage milestones anytime.

Soon after creating an IDP, you are directed to a page where you can add milestones manually or use Marissa AI to add them based on your IDP. However, you can add the milestones anytime.

You can add library courses, learning paths, or my learnings to IDP milestones. These milestones support employees' skill development, align their goals with organizational objectives, and facilitate ongoing learning and growth within the organization.

Learn more in Add and manage milestones.

4. Make IDP active

After marking the IDP as completed, employees can make it active, add milestones to it, and resume working on it. Learn more in Make IDP active.

Note: You cannot add milestones to a completed IDP. However, you can add milestones after making the IDP active.

5. Add IDP to the meeting

After creating IDPs, you can add them to the existing meetings to discuss them with your manager or anyone in the organization who can provide you with support and guidance. You can also create new meetings to discuss your IDPs.

Note:

  • You cannot create meetings without integrating with Google or Microsoft Calendar. Contact our support team for calendar integration.
  • By default, your name is added, as you are the meeting organizer and cannot remove it.
  • Adding IDPs to a discussion point in a meeting makes all details visible to all participants.

Learn more in Add IDP to the meeting.

      6. Initiate a conversation

You can add comments about their IDPs to initiate conversations.

Note: By default, you and your manager are participants in a conversation. However, managers (skip-level manager, secondary manager, and growth manager) above you in the hierarchy can add comments.

After adding comments, you can manage them if required.

You can also manage participants in the conversation.

Learn more in Initiate a conversation in IDP.

      7. Add a comment as a milestone

After adding a comment on the IDP, you can add it as a new milestone or to the existing milestone, ensuring that your development is aligned with your goals.

Learn more in Add a comment as a milestone to the IDP.

      8. Submit response to the career aspirations survey

When admins launch a career aspirations survey, you can submit your responses to it. You can comment in the remark field for all the questions if required.

Note: The questions are not mandatory. You can submit the survey without answering or partially answering the questions.

You can view and edit your responses and comments.

Note: Your manager will be notified whenever you update the Role Satisfaction.

Career aspirations are integrated into your talent profile, allowing you to view your responses to role satisfaction.

Learn more in Submit response to the career aspirations survey.

The user guide equips employees with the knowledge to maximize their learning and development opportunities within the organization. It offers clear instructions on creating and accessing IDPs, tracking their progress, and engaging in various learning activities by adding resources to the IDP milestones.
