1. Introduction

Engagedly's Growth module helps employees develop their skills and competencies and advance their careers. It allows creating IDPs, tracking progress, and accessing learning resources. This module enables employees to create personalized growth plans and managers to support their team's development effectively.

The module equips managers with the features and insights required to oversee and enhance the employee development process, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the organization.

1.1. How does it work

  • Admins have to configure the settings as required.
  • You can create IDPs for your team members, admins can create IDPs for them, and your team members can also create IDPs for themselves.
  • You can nudge your team members to create IDP, add milestones, and update IDP.
  • Employees work on their IDP, update their progress, and complete it.
  • You can initiate a conversation about team members IDP to provide them with support and guidance.
  • Employees can revert the completed milestones and IDPs.

1.2. User actions

  1. Create and manage IDPs for team members.
  2. Nudge employees.
  3. Initiate a conversation on team members IDP.
  4. Share feedback and praise team members for their IDP completion.
  5. View team members IDP reports.

2. Create and manage IDP

You can create IDPs that help employees identify their professional plans, measure their current skills and competencies, and outline a roadmap for their career development. You can also view their talent profiles and manage IDPs if required. Learn more in Create and manage IDP for team members.

3. Add and manage milestones

After creating the IDP for team members, you can add milestones to it to measure employees’ progress toward it. You can manage milestones anytime.

Note: You can edit and delete milestones only if the admin configures the settings.

Soon after creating an IDP, you are directed to a page where you can add milestones manually or use Marissa AI to add them based on your IDP. However, you can add the milestones anytime. Learn more in Add and manage milestones for team members IDP.

4. Make team members IDP active

You can make your team members' completed IDPs active, irrespective of who creates the IDPs. This allows employees to add milestones and resume working on them. You can also add milestones. Learn more in Make team members IDP active.

Note: You cannot add milestones to a completed IDP. However, you can add milestones after making the IDP active.

5. Nudge team members

You can nudge their team members to create the IDPs and update them to show progress. Through the IDP, employees can establish milestones for their development, outlining their goals, skills, strengths, and areas for improvement.

You can nudge individual or multiple employees to create an IDP, add milestones to it, or update it. Learn more in Nudge team members to create IDP.

6. Add team members IDP to the meeting

After creating IDPs for team members, you can add them to the existing meetings to discuss them. You can also create new meetings to discuss your team members' IDPs.

Note:

  • You cannot create meetings without integrating with Google or Microsoft Calendar. Contact our support team for calendar integration.
  • By default, your name is added, as you are the meeting organizer and cannot remove it.
  • Adding IDPs to a discussion point in a meeting makes all details visible to all participants.

Learn more in Add team members IDP to the meeting.

      7. Initiate a conversation

You can add comments to your team members' IDPs to initiate conversations.

Note: By default, you and your team member are participants in a conversation. However, those higher up in the hierarchy (skip-level manager, secondary manager, and growth manager) than your team member can add comments.

After adding comments, you can manage them if required.

You can also manage participants in the conversation.

Learn more in Initiate a conversation on team members IDP.

      8. Add a comment as a milestone

After adding a comment on the team members’ IDP, you can add it as a new milestone or to the existing milestone, ensuring that the employee's development is aligned with their goals.

You can add library courses or learning paths to IDP milestones, which support employees' skill development, align their goals with organizational objectives, and facilitate ongoing learning and growth within the organization.

Learn more in Add a comment as a milestone to the team members IDP.

      9. Share feedback on team members IDP

You can share feedback on their team members' IDPs to provide them with support, guidance, and encouragement. Learn more in Share feedback on team members IDP.

      10. Praise team members for completing IDP
