1. Introduction


Engagedly's Engagement Survey empowers organizations to assess and improve employee engagement effectively. It provides a structured approach for gathering feedback from employees, identifying strengths and areas of improvement, and driving initiatives to enhance overall engagement levels. This science-based questionnaire designed by industry experts enables organizations to collect anonymous responses from employees securely and unbiasedly.

1.1. How does it work

  • Use the existing e10 template, customize it, or create an engagement survey.
  • Share the survey assignments with the employees.
  • Employees respond anonymously.
  • View and export employee responses and analyze them.
  • Develop action plans based on employee responses.

1.2. User actions

You can perform the following actions:

  • Create engagement survey
  • Share engagement survey within the organization with or without an end date
  • Award points on survey completion
  • Set recurrence to assignments
  • Collect anonymous responses
  • View and export responses
  • Access audit log

2. Create engagement survey


You can create an engagement survey as per the organization’s requirements. You can use Engagedly’s e10 template, which is a science-based questionnaire designed by industry experts. It consists of ten sections and 55 questions. You can use them as they are or customize them as required.

3. Add and manage sections and questions


After creating an engagement survey, you can add multiple sections to it and add multiple questions to a section. You can manage them if required.

Note: You can share an engagement survey only after adding a question.

If respondents have already submitted their responses to an assignment, and if you edit the questionnaire, the responses of those respondents will not generate for the edited questions. You have to remove those respondents and add them again to make the edited questionnaire available to them. Learn more in Add and manage sections and questions.

After adding sections and questions to an engagement survey, you can push it to the template library to make it available for other admins.

4. Import questions

After creating an engagement survey, the admins can import questions to it if required. Engagedly offers science-based questions designed by industry experts, including agreement choice, employee net promoter score, and text type questions. Learn more in Import questions.

5. Manage engagement survey

After adding sections and questions, you can manage the engagement survey if required. You can edit, push to the template library, manage authors, copy, and delete it.

After managing the engagement survey, you have to push it to the library to make it available for other admins.

You can add other admins as authors or co-authors. Learn more in Manage engagement survey.

6. Share engagement survey

After creating an engagement survey, you can share it with the employees of the organization. You can share it in the following assignment types:.

You can share the engagement survey with selected employees within the organization.

You can share the engagement survey as a social post within the organization. Learn more in Share engagement survey.

Note: After sharing the ES, you cannot

  • Delete the sections
  • Delete the questions
  • Change the question type

You can only hide the questions, which can affect the collected responses.

7. Manage assignments

After creating assignments in an engagement survey, you can manage them if required. You can edit the assignment title, start and end dates, manage respondents, set recurrence, close and open assignments, and delete them. Learn more in Manage assignments.

Note: If you delete an assignment,

  • The respondents cannot access it.
  • It removes the responses.

Recurrence gives you the ability to share the engagement survey at regular intervals. You can schedule the recurrence weekly, monthly, quarterly, bi-annually, annually, and custom as required. Once the assignments recur, they will appear below the parent assignment with automatic numbering. On the recurred assignments, you can view the numbering, which indicates to the author that how many times the assignments have occurred.

Note: When a recurrence is completed for an assignment and a new recurrence is scheduled for the same assignment, the numbering for recurring assignments will start from one.

You can turn off and turn on the recurrence at any time.

Toggle the button on the assignment to turn it off or on.

8. Manage respondents

While sharing the engagement survey, you can add respondents to it. Also, after sharing it, you can manage respondents by adding and removing them. Learn more in Manage respondents.

Note: Removing respondents will remove their responses. You cannot recover them.

9. Nudge respondents

After sharing the engagement survey, you can nudge respondents if they have not submitted their responses. You can nudge individual respondents and multiple respondents. Learn more in Nudge respondents.

10. Create and manage baseline

A baseline is the established standard used for comparing engagement survey responses. You can set scores for a baseline to compare the responses and measure the effectiveness of employee engagement initiatives. You can create and manage a baseline. Learn more in Create and manage baseline.

The system utilizes the baseline as the reference score for calculating the heat map.

11. View analytics

You can view the analytics for each assignment. After respondents submit their responses, the system automatically generates analytics for each assignment.

CxO can view the engagement survey responses.

Note: A minimum of four responses are required to generate analytics.

You can view the favorability distribution and heat map on the Analytics page that are generated based on responses to the agreement choice questions. The driver questions are used to calculate the engagement index. Learn more in View analytics.

12. Access audit logs

You can access the audit log to track and monitor the activities of the engagement survey within the organization.

Navigate to Settings > Activity Logs > Audit Log.

  • Schedule recurrence
  • When assignment recurred
  • Add and remove respondents
  • Nudge respondents
